Dear Toastmaster,
Oh!! Yes. It is the first time that an Executive Director of Toastmasters International visits District 82 and his first touchdown is none other than Namma Bengaluroo.
Believe it or not, you are a part of the making of a historical journey. The journey of District 82, clubs in India and Sri Lanka. In the Toastmasters world, the story of District 82 is compared with that of Facebook in the social media. This substantial impact has been possible because of the efforts by many committed individuals who have put their blood, sweat, and tears to make a change in the life of someone like you or me. As we march towards another successful year, World Headquarters has taken the step to help us know what can be done or is possible with our learning at Toastmasters. The visit of Daniel Rex (Dan), the Executive Director of Toastmasters International, is a mark of new era for Toastmasters in Bangalore. He is going to share his wisdom of 22 years in Toastmasters.
Dan holds a BA degree in Modern Languages from Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah, and an MBA in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. Add to it, he has pursued a special Leadership Program from University of California, Berkeley - Walter A Haas School of Business.
Dan started his journey just a year before the first Toastmasters club was chartered in India and has been ever since with this movement. During this 22 years, he has led several departments at World Headquarters, giving him a unique perspective and an impressive depth of knowledge. His previous positions were Deputy Executive Director, Director of Communications and Marketing, Marketing Division Manager, and Membership Manager.
If you really want to know what can you do with your Toastmasters journey, join me in welcoming Dan amongst us and lets learn from his experience.
