Financial Concerns

New Members

The cost to join a Toastmaster Club is very reasonable, and it's easy to join. To find a club near you, click here and enter your country, then city, and you will get a list of clubs. It's a good idea to contact the club before visiting to ensure that they still meet on the day and time and at the location indicated.

  • After you attend a meeting, you can apply for membership (minimum age 18.)

  • At the meeting, ask for a membership application, and ask them how to handle the dues payment.

  • Membership is affordable:

    • $20 new member fee

    • $27 dues every six months

    • Local club dues are extra, and may vary from club to club.

  • A club officer will send your application and fees to Toastmasters’ World Headquarters.

  • Your New Member Kit will arrive directly for Toastmasters International.

  • If there is no club in your city, contact the Lt. Governor Marketing (see name an email link at the top left of this age).

New Clubs

The cost to begin a new Toastmasters Club (the Charter Fee) is very reasonable, and requires a minimum of 20 people to actually charter the club. The Charter Fee of US $125.00 is not refundable or transferrable.

The best way to get a new club started is to contact the Lt. Governor Marketing, and he will help you step-by-step.

There are two types of clubs: Community and Company (additional information) The chartering process is the same for both. A community club draws its members from the surrounding community, while most company clubs draw their membership from their pool of employees.
